Rod and Reels:

I like to use Shimano and Quantum reels. Both offer superb quality and durability. A high number of ball bearings and a high gear ratio such as a 7:1 can make it easier to detect more strikes and easier to fish all day without being worn out.

I use all G-Loomis rods that are custom bulit by TOMMY'S PRO RODS. G-Loomis blanks offer strength and sensitivity like no other on the market. A good investment on the right rod will always produce great results, especially to a novice angler.
